Walking into The Ruan Orchid you can expect a welcoming, Eastern-inspired atmosphere. The restaurant has 2 floors, each floor is decorated with traditional Thai surroundings of statues, pictures, flowers and living plants. You will hear Thai music playing and you will see wooden beams with long narrow rooms that give a cosy feeling, which helps you to feel completely relaxed. The scent of tropical flowers mingles with the heady aroma of exotic herbs and spices from the Far East.  It is only a minutes walk from Sick to Death Chester attraction.

The Ruan Orchid offers a mouth-watering menu with it’s own in-house specialties, such as the Pad Thai with Mixed Seafood.  On Ruan Orchid’s website, you will find 3 menu’s – A la Carte , lunch and a chef’s special. There are 4 banquet menus to choose from, with 1 option for vegetarians (all Set Banquets are for a Minimum of 2 people).  For starters you can choose individual dishes or choose one of the five Ruan Orchid platters, this includes a vegetarian option. The platters are a perfect choice to try a few things from the starter menu, this is good especially if you’re having a hard time deciding what to order! You will often find beautiful decorated flowers made out of vegetables on starter plates.  In the menu you will find one page dedicated to vegans and vegetarians, there is plenty to choose from. Both hot and mild curries are available. Where possible they can cater for any food allergies, it is recommend you discuss any allergies when booking a table.

 

They offer a selection of exquisite wines from far flung plains such as Africa and Australia, as well as the finest wines of Italy and France. There is also a good selection of spirits, bottled beers and soft drinks available to choose from.
