As dusk falls the Christmas Lights Trail comes to life and becomes the most dazzling winter illuminations event in Cheshire and beyond. Bolesworth is bathed in seasonal colour, their beautiful grounds lit with thousands of stunning lights and effects, projections and interactive installations creating an unforgettable seasonal experience for children and grown-ups alike.  The time taken will vary on the pace you walk, however we’d suggest you allow approximately 60 – 90 minutes to walk the trail.  Last entry onto the trail is 8pm (6pm on Christmas Eve).  The illuminated trail will finish at 9:30pm each evening, all customers must exit the car park by no later than 10pm (except on Christmas Eve when customers must exit the car park by 8pm).

General Admission to Christmas Village from 3.30pm (weekdays)/3pm (weekends) – Lights Trail will be open from 4pm everyday.

Visit Santa

The most important part of the festive countdown for all girls and boys – the chance to meet Santa.  It’s their opportunity to tell jolly old Father Christmas what they want in their stockings on December 25th, receive a gift and take a photo to mark the magical meeting.

Each family or group can look forward to a jolly personal experience meeting Santa in his grotto. Visits must be booked in advance and you’ll be allocated a time slot. Please choose which age category your child is, so they can be sure that Santa choose’s an appropriate gift.

Please Note: Santa’s Grotto tickets must be obtained for each child in a group wishing to see Santa. Accompanying adults don’t need to obtain tickets for Santa.

Ice Skating

Get your skates on and glide into Christmas on their 240sqm real Ice Rink. Open on selected dates from 24 November to 31 December, with 30 minute bookable slots.  Slots are pre bookable with limited numbers available. Skating aids are available. For all sessions, unless otherwise stated, the minimum age for children to skate is 3 years old.  All 3 to 7 year olds must be accompanied onto the ice by an adult (someone 18 years old and above) in skates, with up to a maximum of 3 children per adult.  We recommend that children aged 9 to 13 are accompanied by an adult (although the adult need not be skating and can watch from the side of the rink).  The Ice Skating experience will last for 30 minutes, this includes check in-time and boot collection.
