The beautiful cathedral gardens now play host to one of the most amazing aerial displays imaginable.

This family friendly attraction gives you the chance to see some of the most spectacular birds of prey, right up close, in the heart of the city and learn all about birds, reptiles, bugs and more!

Owls, falcons, hawks and one incredibly mischievous vulture called Tinks, call our falconry home. Our expert falconers are always on hand to talk about any aspect of the birds and their habitats

From daily flying displays to children’s nature trails and a look at the other wildlife in the centre, there is plenty to keep all of the family entertained!  You can even leave the centre, explore Chester and return for more fun in the same day.

Available experiences:

Cathedral Falconry Experience – £85

2 hours  |  Suitable for all ages

The Cathedral Falconry Experience is a hands-on introduction to birds of prey. Handle a golden eagle, fly hawks, and meet our owls.

Fly a Hawk – £50

1.5 hours  |  Suitable for all ages

Enjoy the experience of free flying a hawk, and learn more about their flying skills and hunting techniques.

The Owl Encounter – £40

1 hour  |  Suitable for all ages

Owls are much loved and mysterious creatures. Get up close and personal with several of our owl species, learn to fly them and find out more about their habits.
