The Botanist

Situated in the shadows of Chester Cathedral, the Botanist is a Venue where dishes are inspired by delis/rotisseries/BBQs, with craft ales, live music and a walled garden.

Bubbles & Brunch – Bottomless Brunch

Choose one breakfast item and enjoy a glass of prosecco and hot drink for £15.00.  You can upgrade to their bottomless package for an extra £10.00 (unlimited brunch cocktails for an hour and a half).

Dishes include a full English breakfast (vegan option available as well), smashed avocado & poached eggs on sour dough, a 3 egg omelette with cheese, a 4oz Cumberland sausage sandwich, smoked bacon sandwich, French toastie and homemade pancakes with blueberries.

Lunch Menu

There is a big selection of dishes including small plates, salads, favourites from the deli, rotisserie and grill.  Also there are numerous Vegan and dairy free dishes to choose from.

Dinner Menu

Big selection of dishes including their famous hanging kebab which is available in chicken, pork belly, lamb kofta, halloumi and prawn.

Other dishes include small plates, big selection of starters, mains which include steaks, pasta and fish.

After your main meal, enjoy the ice cream selection with a wide variety of flavours to choose from.  If ice cream doesn’t sound too enticing, you can try the warm chocolate brownie complete with toasted almonds, white chocolate sauce and frozen berries.

There is also a non gluten food menu available, a kids menu and a Sunday Roast available where you can have 2 courses for £17.50 or 3 courses for £21.50.  Roasts include lamb, pork belly, chicken, beef and a mushroom, red lentil & chestnut roast.

Cocktail Menu

Big selection of cocktails ranging from long cocktails to sharers.  There is also a big selection of alcohol free cocktails and a gin list.

Wine List

A big selective stock of international wines including white, red, rose, sparking, sweet wine and port.

Drink Menu

If wine isn’t your thing there is a large selection of lagers, ciders, pale ales, low alcohol and non alcohol drinks and gluten free drinks.  If you are a teetotaller, there is a wide variety of other drinks for you to try.

Live Music

From Wednesday to Sunday live music is played every night with various musicians playing different styles and sounds.

Cocktail Masterclasses

Explore how to make delightful cocktail creations.  They will teach you how to make your own cocktails in your own private area.  Available for groups of 6 or more.  Prices are £25.00 per person.  You will get to create and drink 3 different cocktails, different cocktails are available depending on your taste.

Ale Tasting Masterclasses

If you’ve always wanted to know your maize from your barley, now you can with their Ale Tasting Masterclasses packages, perfect for improving your knowledge of local and World famous beers.  Available for groups of 6 or more.  Each session will last 90 minutes and you will get to taste and discuss up to 8 different beers and ales of your choice.  Prices from £20.00 per person and there are 4 different packages to choose from:

1.  Best of Britain – £20.00 per person
2.  Best of Europe – £25.00 per person
3.  The History of Ales – £30.00 per person
4.  What is Craft – £30.00 per person

Gin Masterclass

Truth be told, there’s more to Gin then Tonic!  Discover the origin’s and history of Gin and enjoy a range of expertly selected Gins, as you learn to identify the unique flavours in every bottle.  Suitable for 6-12 people, your masterclass will last 90 mins and is £25.00 per person.
