This year, Stratford Upon Avon Christmas Market takes place over two consecutive weekends from Saturday December 7th until Sunday December 8th 2024 & Saturday 14th till Sunday 15th. The Victorian Market will see stalls holders dressed for the occasion in Victorian period costumes, with hundreds of traditional Christmas Market stalls offering delicious food and drink and quirky Christmas gifts.
The stalls will be open between the following times:
- Saturday 7th December – 10am till 8pm
- Sunday 8th December – 10am till 5pm
- Saturday 14th December – 10am till 8pm
- Sunday 15th December – 10am – 5pm
The Christmas Market will be taking place across several streets in Stratford-upon-Avon historic town centre. These include Waterside, Bridge Street, Meer Street, High Street and Henley Street. If you are looking for that unique Christmas gift or simply want to soak up the festive spirit, this is the place to be. There will be entertainment throughout the town; a stage in Rother Street will host a programme of performances. There will be a traditional funfair, which will include a carousel situated at the bottom of Wood Street and on the Rother Street market area.

Parking Near Stratford-upon-Avon Christmas Market
We encourage visitors, using their own transport, to use the Bishopton Park & Ride which will also be in available on each of the days of the event, running until 20:30 on Thursday to Saturday and until 17:30 on Sunday. Normal park & ride charges will apply on each of the days. There are a number of car parks near the Market though including Rother Street, The Market, Windsor Street and Church Street.
Coaches – Parking will be at the Leisure Centre Coach Park on Bridgeway. This will operate on a first come, first served basis and there will be arrangements made for an overspill coach park at another location (venue to be confirmed)
Coach Drop Off/Pick up – Will be at the Leisure Centre Coach Park only.
Road Closures during the Stratford-upon-Avon Christmas Market
Roads Fully closed will be:
- Bridge Street
- Waterside
Please note that there will be changes to traffic flow in:
- High Street (one way towards Barclays Roundabout) (no parking)
- Union Street (no parking)
Wood Street will be open both ways but egress will be down Union Street only as there will be no access to other streets.
Sheep Street will be open but HVM measures will be in place adjacent to Waterside.
