The Big Wheel at Brighton Christmas Market.

This year, Brighton Christmas Market has been cancelled for 2024.  Situated between St Peter’s Church and Valley Gardens the Christmas Market is just a stone’s throw away from the vibrant shopping streets of the city centre.

The stalls will be open between the following times:

  • Monday to Thursday – 12pm till 9pm
  • Friday to Sunday – 10am till 10pm

Please note food stalls and the bars will be open between the following times:

  • Monday to Thursday – 12pm till 11pm
  • Friday to Sunday – 10am till 11pm

On Friday 18th of November (the opening day), the market will open at 1pm until 10pm and until 11pm for everything else.

The traditional xmas market will offer a vibrant mix of unique gifts from a cross the globe, stimulating the senses and creating the sights, sounds, tastes, textures, and aromas of Christmas.  Spend your daytime Christmas Shopping while soaking up the magical atmosphere before ending the day with a mulled wine, a delicious German Bratwurst sausage and some live music at the Apres Ski Bar.  The Christmas Market is free to enter for the entire family.

Brighton Christmas Market Apres Ski Bar

Located in St Peter’s Plaza, The Après-Ski Bar looks across the Brighton Christmas Market and The Big Wheel – The perfect spot to soak up the Christmas cheer! Enjoy a festive tipple or two in this ski-lodge-themed bar, with a selection of festive drinks and live entertainment throughout the day.

Celebrate Christmas in style by enjoying the festival-featured selection of beers, mulled wine, hot chocolates and other festive drinks, whilst being entertained by a whole host of local artists and performers.

The bar will be open Monday to Thursday – 12 pm until 11 pm and Friday to Sunday – 10 am until 11 pm, for you to eat, drink and be merry!

All bookings will require a £5.00 non-refundable deposit that will be used as a credit towards your bar bill on the day while guaranteeing your table for your chosen time.

Getting to Bright Christmas Market

Brighton Christmas Market , Apres-Ski Bar and all Attractions

Located at St. Peter’s Church Plaza, which is adjacent to St. Peter’s Church. Between London Road and Grand Parade, just next to Richmond Place.

Travelling by train: Upon arrival at Brighton station. Pass through the barrier, continue straight ahead, out of the main exit, and immediately turn left. Look for Trafalgar Street, which passes through a tunnel beneath the front of the station. Brighton Christmas market is 5 mins walk straight ahead, for any train queiries, Follow the link for rail operators, service timetables and station information.

Travelling by bus: The bus stops closest to our market location, are St Peters Church Stop A if you are coming from Hove or the city centre direction and St Peters Church Stop L if you are travelling from Patcham or the University directions. – Park and Ride is also available.

Travelling by coach:
Brighton’s National Express Station is on Pool Valley opposite the Palace Pier. It is a 10 minute walk past The Pavilion and Victoria Gardens and then you will be at the Christmas Market.
