Birmingham Christmas Market

This year, Birmingham Christmas Market takes place from November 1st until December 24th 2024.  Situated on Victoria Square and along New Street it is the largest authentic German Frankfurt Christmas Market outside of Germany or Austria.  It is free to get into so need to purchase tickets.

The stalls will be open between the following times:

Open Daily – 10am to 9pm, except on Remembrance Sunday (10th November) when the market will be open from 1pm to 9pm.

Birmingham’s Christmas Market is a firm fixture in the annual calendar and attracts visitors from around the UK and Europe and the stalls on Victoria Square and along New Street offer a large range of traditional goods and gifts and a selection of tempting food and drinks.  There is free live music on located in Victoria Square where musicians from Germany and Birmingham will entertain you with lunchtime and evening musics Monday to Friday and performances all day Saturday and Sunday.

Accessibility

The whole market located on Victoria Square and New Street can be accessed by wheelchair users, as it is possible to take a route that avoids steps.  There are Accessible toilet facilities for disabled people at the market in the area adjacent to the stage on Victoria Square.

Please note the market operates Challenge 25 for the sale of alcoholic drinks so if you are lucky enough to look under 25 you may be asked to prove that you are aged 18 or over.  Acceptable forms of ID are photographic driving licence’s and passports.
