Located in Chester Zoo, walk around the award-winning gardens and discover our passion for plants that not only make the zoo look beautiful but play a vital role in helping local wildlife.

With 125 acres to care for, our horticulture and botany team work hard all year round (in all weathers) to make sure the gardens and animal habitats are in tip-top condition.

There are many gardens for you to explore, all of which are part of Cheshire’s Gardens of Distinction, and each open to visit and with their own story to tell.
